Virtual Modular Design

This is the very first edition of a brand new season of teaching, and in this, the legendary Tim CV reveals and teaches some incredible free software: great sounding virtual modular racks. It can be so inspiring to switch tools and bring a whole new way of thinking into your workflow; few people venture into the expansive world of modular, and those that do tend to ironically use the hardware and not the software versions…. But the the Nord Virtual rack is a real weapon and is so much fun to use, even today, and likewise with the state of the art VCV Rack.The options with both are literally infinite, and it makes your brain work in a very different way to many of the common (but awesome) software VSTi tools we all know so well. Tim is a superb teacher, and over the course of the 2hrs+ he covers everything from where to get it and how to install it, to step by step guides for both drums and bass design from scratch. Plus some video on post processing methods. Aside from the specific techniques it’s also a really great lesson in audio anatomy; harmonics, engineering practice & DnB specifics.
