Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sample Genie, a drum & bass production tutorial platform operated by Digital Labz Music ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use Sample Genie.

Authentication is provided by WorkOS. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for notifying us of any unauthorised use.

3. Memberships and payments

Some content requires a paid membership or a one-off course purchase. Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account — access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Prices are shown at checkout and may change; we will give notice of changes to recurring prices before they take effect. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

4. Licence to use content

Subject to these Terms and your membership, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream the tutorials and access the materials for your own learning. You may not download (except where a download is expressly offered), redistribute, resell, publicly perform, or share access to the content.

Any samples, presets, or project files provided are licensed for use in your own music productions; you may not redistribute or resell them as-is or repackaged.

5. Community and user submissions

The forum and features such as Geniedubs let you post content. You retain ownership of what you post, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

You are responsible for your submissions and must have the rights to post them. Do not upload anything that infringes others’ rights or that you are not permitted to share.

6. Acceptable use

Be respectful and lawful. You must not misuse the service, including by attempting to bypass access controls or paywalls, scraping or copying content, uploading malicious code, harassing other users, or posting unlawful, infringing, or abusive material.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

Sample Genie, its branding, and the tutorials and materials made available through it are owned by Digital Labz Music or its licensors (including the featured artists) and are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.

8. Third-party services

The service integrates third parties such as Stripe, Vimeo, and WorkOS. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law provides otherwise.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
